Crickets

A chase is an insulated box made

of either wood, metal, stucco or brick/stone veneer that is attached

to your structure. Enclosing an otherwise outside chimney into an insulated chase will reduce creosote by keeping the chimney warm, and will protect it from the elements. It also is designed to contain your fireplace, furnace or stove venting system.

A chase cap, sometimes called a

chase cover or chase top, is a metal covering designed to keep things

like rain, snow and animals from entering a home via the chimney

or stove pipe. If you have an old tar chase cap, chances are it is cracking and/or leaking. A fabricated metal

chase cap will permanently fix this.

We can custom make your chase

cap out of galvanized steel, stainless steel or even have them powder

coated to match your home.

A cricket is a ridge structure designed to divert snow or ice on a roof, especially during an Alaskan spring melt. Generally found on the high side of a chimney or stove pipe or the transition from one roof area to another, the cricket is normally formed to the same pitch as the rest of the roof. We generally use galvanized steel crickets and can powder coat them to match any roof color.
